Energy performance certificate “cost just £60″

The energy performance certificate will cost at most £60.

After checking at various Domestic Energy assessor web sites and forums. Some of which are so paranoid of the public, that you have to log in to read them.

Domestic Energy assessors are more than happy to accept £60 for an Epc, so do not be quoted more. Here are just some of the  interesting comments.

On accepting £60 per Energy performance certificate. 

“DEA’s need to realise that your not going to get rich quick, but pricing yourself out of the market is even more unrealistic. HPI has shot up, this £60 a job is going to make us even more of a laughing stock.”

On Estate agents compiling  EPCs.

It’s the person selling the property that pays for the EPC. If they think that they might get a ‘more favourable’ EPC from the people who are marketing the property then who do you think they are going to go with?
